Debate: Regulating Corporate Climate Action

As businesses strive to combat climate change, many collaborative efforts risk crossing U.S. antitrust boundaries designed to maintain healthy market competition. This raises a pivotal question: Should U.S. antitrust laws be relaxed to allow greater corporate cooperation in climate mitigation?

The Harvard Undergraduate Economics Association (HUEA) invites you to a dynamic debate featuring Harvard Business School Professor Peter Tufano and University of Amsterdam Professor Maarten Pieter Schinkel. Professor Tufano will advocate for the loosening of U.S. antitrust laws to encourage corporate climate initiatives, while Professor Schinkel will present the opposing view, emphasizing the need to uphold competition.

Join us on November 20th from 7-8:15 pm in Sever 102 at Harvard for an insightful discussion on the intersection of climate action and market regulation, where differing perspectives will shed light on the future of corporate responsibility in the U.S. RSVP here as soon as possible if you would like to attend!
